The question lingered in my head as I couldn't find my best friend anywhere. We had planned to meet at our usual spot, but when I arrived, there was no sign of him. I tried calling his phone, but it went straight to voicemail. I started feeling worried and wondered where he could have gone.
I retraced the places we usually hang out and asked some of our mutual friends if they had seen him, but nobody had any answers. As the time passed, I began to feel more and more anxious. Had something happened to him? Was he in trouble? I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.

The scare had made me realize how important my friend was to me and how much I relied on his presence in my life.
