Jinjiang Qiuchong Central Primary School (JQCPS) was founded in 1914. Having endured several changes of its location in the past 90 years, the school is bringing in constant renewal for itself. By the end of 1996, a rationally designed new campus has been built with the funds raised through many ways by Sijing village committee and the school board. At present, covering an area of 6420 square meters with a construction area of 6100 square meters, JQCPS has more than 1000 students and 53 qualified teachers, of whom 18 held junior college diploma. The school has acquired many honorable titles, including Quanzhou Model Employees' Family , “Quanzhou Model School”, “Quanzhou Experimental Primary School for Scientific and Technological Activities ”, “ Quanzhou Experimental School of Modern Education Technique”, “Quanzhou Model School for its Excellent Implementation of All-around Education andModel Rural Primary School of Fujian Province .

For many years, JQCPS has attached great importance to feature education as part of proficiency education and has organized Qiucong Art League consisting of a Chinese traditional instruments orchestra, a choir and a fine art group, Lotus Literary Society and Qiucong TV station” and “Times Young Reporter Association” and thus provides a free and favorable environment for students' specialty and personal development. Its art education, with the traditional instrument orchestra as a leading specialty, has been highly commended by many expert and leaders and praised by people at home and abroad. In year 2002, the school was granted “Experimental Base of national arts education in rural areas”.
